Meet Our Team

It is important that you know and trust who will take care of your precious child while they are with us. Below are profiles of the team at Kidditech, please take the time to have a look at their profiles and find more about our passionate teachers. Our team are caring and professional in their approach to providing rich learning experiences and a fun environment for young children. Our teachers are provided with plenty of office time each week in which they write learning stories for the children, plan for the children’s interests and design project work. The Ministry of Education Regulations stipulates a minimum teacher: child ratio and we better this to maintain higher than minimum standards.

We are a very friendly approachable team at Kidditech and would love to meet and get to know you and your child.

I started my teaching journey working in a Montessori centre and studying to gain my teaching degree. After graduating I took some time off to travel and spend time with family and friends in Canada. Prior to joining the Kidditech team I had been teaching in an ECE centre in Opawa.

I am a passionate teacher who values building strong respectful relationships with tamariki and their whānau. I believe in fostering curiosity, confidence, friendship and fun in the classroom encouraging tamariki to love learning and reach their full potential. I am very excited to be a part of you children’s learning and growing journeys.

I have been a relief teacher at Kidditech on and off for years. I am currently filling a maternity leave position and work school hours every day.

My husband Tony and I have two daughters who are both at school and in my spare time I enjoy baking, gardening and sewing.

I enjoy teaching at Kidditech because I love seeing the children grow and develop and we have a great team to work with. I love offering children experiences in craft and baking and particularly enjoy gardening.

I’ve been at Kidditech since 2010. After a couple of years here I headed off on my big OE. However, after an amazing 2 and a half years travelling some of the world it was time to come home, I loved being at Kidditech so just had to come back! After being in a teaching role for a few years I moved into the centre leader role here leading the teaching team.

When I’m not travelling I love relaxing with a book, heading out of town to enjoy the countryside and spending time with family and friends.

I love working with children as I get to learn alongside them and encourage their ideas as new discoveries are made. I enjoy developing and inspiring children’s learning through fun and creative activities.

I’ve been part of the Kidditech since January 2017 for 2 days a week while studying towards my degree in Early Childhood Education. I have always known I’ve had a passion for teaching young children. This started when I was Irish dancing, working with and alongside the younger dancers.

My partner Ben and I have a school aged daughter and a preschool ages son. The days that I’m not working consist of family time, gardening, house renovations and being outdoors.

As a teacher, I believe providing an environment that allows children to; explore, experiment, learn and develop independence is one which they will thrive in.

I’ve been a teacher at Kidditech since July 2018 after relieving for 5 months, I loved Kidditech too much and just had to stay.

I studied in the UK and have both my early childhood and teaching degrees. I have always enjoyed working with children as I love the way they view the world with wonder and delight. My working life has always been jobs with children from being a swimming teachers assistant, a holiday club leader and then on to teaching.

Outside of work I spend time with my husband and two children. We really enjoy going on walks to explore this beautiful country, which is still quite new to me. I also love to bake and get creative in the kitchen with new ideas and designs. If I get some quiet time I can be found with my head in a good book as I am a huge bookworm.

As a teacher I believe in providing an environment where children and families feel safe and included. Helping children to explore, develop and understand their own ideas is a very important to me. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.

Hi, my name is Lou, I co-own and manage Kidditech with Matt. I am at the centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Kidditech is my passion and I really enjoy my role. It is a privilege to be involved in the lives the Kidditech whanau and being a small community fucussed centre enables us to offer a high quality care and education. I take pride in ensuring our team is happy and inspired enabling them to offer an inviting, fun, and creative environment for the children.

After graduating and gaining experience as an early childhood teacher I wanted to create a great early childhood centre with a difference. There was a lack of science based experiences being offered to children in centres that I had worked in so that formed the basis of my centre vision. I have a passion for questioning, exploration and finding out why? With my husband Matt being a mechanical engineer and also passionate about science and technology we combined our interests and created Kidditech. A small homely early childhood centre that is both; a great place for our teachers to work, and a rich learning environment for children. We both believe relationships are key to all we do and inspiring others is vital, we operate Kidditech with those ideals.

I am a keen baker and share this interest with the children whenever I can, I enjoy reading, camping, gardening, and pretty much anything that involves being creative.

Matt and I have two sons Riley and Tom and family is very important to us.  I thoroughly enjoy the time I get to spend with my family and love to share my interests and creativity with my boys, gardening, baking and building stuff.
